Centenary University confers degrees four times during the year: May, July, September, and January. There is one Commencement ceremony in May as designated in the Academic Calendar. Candidates for a graduate degree (Master or Doctorate) must have completed all of their degree requirements by the end of Summer Session II following the May commencement ceremony in order to participate in the May Commencement ceremony.

To be eligible to participate in the Commencement ceremony all students must be in good academic standing. Graduate students must have an overall minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00.

Any students who have not met their financial obligations to Centenary University in full, or who have not made satisfactory arrangements with the Business Office for payment, will be denied the privilege of participating in the Commencement ceremony.

Graduation applications must be completed and delivered to the Registrar’s Office by the date specified in the Academic Calendar along with the graduation fee. Graduation applicants who do not meet the specified application date will be moved to the next graduation date following completion of the application and payment of the graduation fee.
