GED-669 Structured Literature: Advanced Study

This course focuses on developing literacy professionals into scholar practitioners as they partake in advanced study in a structured approach to evidence-based literacy instruction. Through an analysis of research and theory, students will focus on the intricacies of the English language and how to appropriately utilize a structured approach that includes multi-sensory, language-based systems to support students.  This course provides students with an in-depth study of intervention practices to identify and instruct learners who are experiencing difficulty learning to read such as Multilingual Learners of English and students with learning differences such as dyslexia and dysgraphia.
