GHS-741 Heroic Teachers, Heroic Students
In this course, students learn from stories of fictional and real teachers who have made a substantial difference in the lives of their students. Each week, students watch a movie about the heroic teacher and then read a text that illuminates their unique approach to teaching. The course discusses the role of the teacher as a transformational leader able to cultivate independence and an internal locus of control in their students.
