EDU-4034 Supporting Culture, Identity, and Language Learning through Literacy
This course focuses on the importance of using a variety of literacy-based activities to celebrate students' culture, identity, and language learning. Candidates will explore the critical nature of an asset approach to students as they review the importance of access and equitable learning experiences for all learners. A great focus on this course focuses on strategies and materials to support Multilingual Learners of English in a general education setting through the use of multicultural, multilingual, and diverse literature.
