Have you ever wondered how consumers decide what to buy? Why do they choose one designer or brand over another-what's involved in their decision making process? Understanding the "why of the buy" is essential in today's ever changing retail environment. This course will explore why consumer behavior is so important in the world of fashion. We will "dig deep" into the various dynamics of consumer behavior, marketing, and fashion and explore how they are all members of a "working relationship". We will also evaluate how psychology, sociology, and culture influences today's consumer and ultimately drives production and success in today's global market.
