ENG-3100 Digital Research & the Humanities

This course examines digital platforms and resources for conducting research within the humanities. Students will develop scholarly research skills employing multiple digital sources. Multimodal resources will include videos, podcasts, webinars, and social media platforms; plus, students will assess the reliability of digital information. In addition to conducting research, students will analyze and compartmentalize their findings through a variety of assignments, such as making an annotated bibliography, conducting an etymological study, and incorporating research into digital publishing platforms. This course also covers ethics in digital research, proper MLA citation, and intellectual property rights.
