RES-1000 Scientific Research

The purpose of RES courses is to enhance the student's academic experience by engaging in the scientific method.  RES 1000 will familiarize a student with the processes of the scientific
method by having them work with a primary investigator and/or in a team assisting other students with a current, ongoing study.  The student may help with literature review, field sampling, sample processing, data collection, data mining, experimental design, and experimental trials.  An application to conduct the research project must be filled out and signed by the student, research advisor, academic advisor, and the chair/dean.
