Commuter Experience

Centenary encourages all students, including commuters, to get involved in campus life. The Commuter Council, part of the Student Government Association, advocates for commuter needs and helps enhance campus life for non-residential students. Joining clubs, attending events, and participating in student government and Greek life can enrich the university experience and build a stronger connection to the Centenary community.

Commuter students have access to their own dedicated space to study, unwind, and connect with fellow commuters. The Commuter Lounge, located on the second floor of the Lackland Center, features a comfortable lounge area with a TV, a study cubicle, a table and chairs for meals, and a fully equipped kitchen - including a refrigerator and microwave - for storing and heating up food. Lockers are available through the Office of Campus Life and are in the Commuter Lounge and in The Seay Building.

With advance notice, temporary housing accommodations may be arranged in cases of inclement weather or late campus events. For more information about commuter resources or the Commuter Council, contact the Office of Campus Life.
