Student Government Association & Recognized Student Organizations
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the official voice of the student body and plays a key role in shaping the Centenary student experience. SGA advocates for student interests, promotes campus involvement, and collaborates with university leadership to enhance student life.
SGA also supports all Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), helping student leaders plan events, manage budgets, and grow their groups. Through leadership, service, and representation, SGA ensures that every student has a voice and a chance to make an impact.
Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) enhance the student experience by offering a social element, allowing students to connect with peers who share interests and values in a supportive environment. RSOs also allows students to develop leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Students may join an existing organization or start their own organization by completing an application through the SGA.
Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) are encouraged to partner with off-campus community organizations for civic engagement opportunities. These partnerships offer students real-world experience, help build professional networks and allow them to apply classroom learning to community impact. For community organizations, partnering with students brings fresh perspectives, energetic volunteers, and the opportunity to cultivate future leaders.
