Course Changes and Withdrawals from a Course(s)

During the first five business days of the semester or term students may update their schedules (i.e., add and drop). After the first day of the semester or term, if the student drops a course, withdraws or takes a Leave‐of‐Absence for the semester, the student will receive refunds according to the University’s refund schedule. After five business days of the semester students may not add course(s) to their schedule.

Any SPS student who wishes to change their scheduled courses must contact their program advisor prior to the start of the course.

Students who withdraw from a course or courses after the first five business days of a semester or term will have a grade of "W" (withdrew) posted on their transcripts.  If a student withdraws from a class or classes after the date posted on the Academic Calendars allowing for withdrawals, an automatic grade of “F” will be recorded.  Failure to attend any class or verbal notification to the instructor, faculty advisor, and/or Student Services does not constitute an official withdrawal.

Students may either complete an add/drop form or go online to add/drop courses.

Failure to withdraw officially by following the above procedures will result in a permanent grade of "F" for the course(s).
