NUR-3100 Professional Nurse Seminar

This course introduces the RN students to the conceptual foundations of the nursing profession in which the multidimensional roles of nursing practice are explored.  Historical and contemporary social determinants central to the role of the professional nurse are explored.  Principles of the professional nurses' roles and promotion of the profession are highlighted.  Current issues and trends in nursing and healthcare are also explored.  This course supports the development of the professional nurse as an advocate for the health and wellness of the local and global community.
