This course provides a conceptual foundation for the understanding of nursing informatics and healthcare technologies. Emphasis is placed on the application of information processes and
information technologies from both a current and historical perspective. Focus includes the utilization of information technology to support healthcare decision-making. This course will also explore social and ethical issues in the context of clinical information systems.
