SWS-3021 Social Work Practice I

This course is designed to initiate the beginning social work student to the basic concepts of generalist social work practice. Students will be introduced to the knowledge, values and skills needed for generalist practice with individuals. Each stage of the helping process and ethical decision-making process will be thoroughly explored, and the importance of using evidenced-based interventions will be emphasized. This course is offered in the fall semester only.
