BIO-1201 Introduction to Scientific Work

This course is designed to prepare students for the professional aspects of a career in a scientific discipline.  Students will engage in service activities, gain experience in interpreting and analyzing scientific resources, research and develop career plans and how to implement them, perform mock interviews, and construct resumes/CVs and cover letters tailored to specific disciplines.  These topics will be explored through written work, debates and discussion, oral presentations, hosting guest speakers and field trips.
