GED-663 Multisensory (Reading) Instruction for Diverse Learners

This course focuses on developing literacy professionals into scholar practitioners as they integrate research into their practice while learning about the foundations of multisensory language instruction within the balanced literacy classroom.  Through an analysis of research and theory, students will focus on the intricacies of the English language and how to appropriately utilize multi-sensory, language-based systems to support students during literacy instruction.  This course supports the most effective, instructional practices utilized by reading specialists to instruct traditional learners, struggling readers, special education students and English Language Learners.
